Terms of Use
The terms on which Frequative is made available.
1. These terms
These terms govern your use of the Frequative application for Android (the “App”) and this website, provided by Lelaris Labs (“we”, “us”).

By installing or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own use, in accordance with these terms and with the terms of the store you obtained it from.
This is a licence to use the App. It does not transfer ownership of the App or any part of it to you.
3. What the App is
Frequative is a real-time audio spectrum analyzer. It displays a frequency-domain view of audio available to it on your device.
Frequative is not a calibrated sound level meter, a laboratory measurement instrument, an acoustic calibration system, or a medical or diagnostic device. Levels shown are relative to the Android audio pipeline and to your specific device hardware, and will differ between devices. Do not rely on the App where a calibrated or certified measurement is required, or for any safety, medical, regulatory or compliance purpose.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App in violation of any law that applies to you, including laws governing recording, monitoring or interception of audio;
- use System Audio capture or microphone analysis to capture audio you do not have the right to capture, or where the people involved have not given any consent the law requires;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- redistribute, resell, sublicense or rent the App;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the App;
- attempt to circumvent the entitlement checks that control access to Frequative Pro features.
You are responsible for how you use the App and for complying with the laws of your own jurisdiction.
5. Frequative Pro subscriptions
Some features are available only with an active Frequative Pro subscription. Pro is offered as a Google Play subscription with monthly and annual options.
- Prices are set and displayed by Google Play in your local currency, and are shown to you before you confirm a purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Payment is taken by Google, not by us. We do not process or store payment details.
- Your Pro entitlement is determined by what Google Play reports for your account.
The set of features included in Pro may change over time. If we remove a significant feature from Pro, we will say so on this website.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play subscriptions area of your Google account. Cancelling stops future renewals; access to Pro features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy, and by any statutory rights you have that cannot be excluded. We cannot issue refunds for Play purchases ourselves, but if something has gone wrong, contact us and we will help where we can.
7. Availability
The App is provided on an as-available basis. Specific capabilities depend on your device and Android version — notably, System Audio depends on Android's playback-capture API, which is available only on supported Android 10+ devices and which the platform or individual apps may restrict.
We may update, change or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of this website or of any download hosted on it.
8. Intellectual property
The App, this website, and the Lelaris Labs and Frequative names, logos and designs are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.
Measurement data you generate with the App, including CSV exports, is yours.
9. Third-party services
The App uses Google Play services for distribution and billing. Your use of those services is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that it will operate without interruption, or that any measurement it displays is accurate, calibrated or fit for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App or this website.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us, or through Google Play for Frequative Pro, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including your statutory consumer rights.
12. Support
Support is provided by email on a reasonable-efforts basis. See the support page for what to include and how to reach us. We do not commit to a guaranteed response time.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms, in particular the acceptable-use section. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability — survive it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with the date it was last updated. If we make a material change, we will update that date; continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
Placeholder — governing law and jurisdiction to be supplied by the publisher.
This clause does not remove any protection given to you by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
